WORD FROM BRUCE SCHWARTZ, ELECTROSONIC'S LIVE EVENTS DIRECTOR:

"Electrosonic SA is proud to announce the Electrosonic / Martin Professional / Mediatech Lighting Designer Contest to be held again at Mediatech 2017. Building on the phenomenal success of the inaugural Lighting Designer Contest in 2015 , Electrosonic is pleased to announce the contest will once again feature as a highlight of the Mediatech 2017 show in Johannesburg. To be hosted just after the show on Thursday evening 20th July 2017 in a specially constructed Contest area packed full of Martin Professional Fixtures and glorious food.

The Electrosonic Teams are hard a work putting together the details of this year’s event as we speak. It will be bigger and more spectacular than last time for sure. This year we have made a major decision to open up the contest to ALL Brands of Lighting consoles !! Yes , MA , Avolites , Chamsys and Hogs, or any other console of your choice will be welcome. We will have the Martin M-Series consoles as well for the many M-Series Users. This will open up the scope of contestants to wider range and provide for even more thrilling designs. Once again Martin Professional/Electrosonic will be sponsoring superb prizes.

With over 180 Attendees at the inaugural event, the Lighting Designer Contest 2017 Event promises to be even more of a spectacle. We cannot wait till the 20th of July to see who will be awarded the Electrosonic Lighting Designer Contest winner for 2017. It’s always a great reward to see the support of the industry as we had last time and I have no doubt it will be the even better this time.”
